Social media platforms are full of photos and videos of pretty altars, elaborate candle spells, and sparkly crystals. A lot of magic-curious and new practitioners search for information online; it's quick, convenient, and often feels personal.
Unfortunately...there's a lot of not-so-great information passed around online as if it's legit magical advice. Sometimes, it's a spell that appears to fail, even though you followed all the steps provided. Other times, it's two different people presenting two opposing ideas as The Best One, or too-good-to-be-true expectations, or just the idea that witchcraft must include all the expensive trappings.
We see the aftermath a lot here at Where Faeries Live.
Deb, a practicing witch of 30+ years with experience in Wicca, Celtic, and Egyptian paganism, and Nicole, a practitioner of voodou, hoodoo, and Santeria for 10+ years, will break down some of the most common misconceptions we're seeing spread around online.
If you've attempted a spell you found online and nothing happened, or if you're encountering conflicting information from different social sources, or you're otherwise feeling a bit lost with all the information online, you'll want to attend this talk!
