Richard’s class is a mixture of task based improvisation and set phrase work informed by movement concepts from contact improvisation, contemporary dance, Axis Syllabus, and physical theatre. Usual material includes floorwork technique, partner work with non-contact options, ensemble improvisation, and occasional play with voice and objects like tennis balls and sticks. Participants can expect to roll, invert, spin, bounce, stretch, sweat, and have their working memory challenged!
