Spinning Tops – The Physics of Motion

Kids will explore the science behind spinning dreidels and tops, discovering concepts like rotation, friction, and inertia in action. Participants will test how design and force affect spin time in a fun challenge: Who can make their dreidel spin the longest? Just as the oil in the Hanukkah story kept burning, we’ll see how efficient energy keeps motion going!

Open to kids ages 5 - 11. Registration not required, but attendance is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. Call or visit the library with any questions.
