Come and learn dances from Jane Austen's time at Institut Français d'Écosse with Talitha MacKenzie, a teacher of Historical Dance & Dance Music at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
In our upcoming term of classes, we're going back to basics! We'll be learning the original First Set of Quadrilles that came to Edinburgh from Paris after the Battle of Waterloo.
No experience required. Beginners are very welcome as these dances are less complicated than some of the later sets.
Starting from 3rd February, we meet fortnightly for the classes.
Prices are:
£60/£55 per course (5 classes) or £15/£12 per single class.
Concession rate is available for IFE members / Edinburgh Quadrille Society members / Students.
