Join us on Sunday, September 28 as we mark the 10 day period between Rosh HaShana (the Jewish New Year) and Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement). Inspired by the practice of Mikveh (ritual immersion), we'll be reflecting on our years together, before cleansing in the sea, followed by a light and warming picnic.
Everyone welcome, regardless of affiliation with other Jewish communities or background, including non-Jewish partners and family members. While this event is primarily intended for members of the Jewish community (and partners/family members) to come together, it's meant to be an inclusive and welcoming space. This event will only be for people aged 18 and up.
A light vegan picnic will served after the swim, with gluten and dairy options. Please be in touch with any additional dietary requests. All ingredients will be certified kosher and cooked and served on kosher dishes.
Everyone is responsible for their own swimming and water safety. The water is cold and rough. Please bring your own swimming clothes, towels, etc.
We will be travelling over rough and uneven ground, including over sand.
Participants will be responsible for their own transportation. Exact location and recommended transit links will be sent to registered participants. The meeting point will be accessible both by driving and by public transport.
