Cassandra Barron of Bookbinding with Cass will teach you how to personalise your book covers with recycled and remnant papers, giving each piece its own distinct character. These hand-bound books make excellent sketchbooks, notebooks, or a unique way to bind together text and images for your own publication. No prior experience is needed.
Take home an original Japanese stab-bound book along with bookbinding skills to develop in your own time using simple tools and recycled papers.
All tools and materials will be provided. Spaces are limited so it is recommended to book in advance.
Cassandra is an Edinburgh-based book maker with a passion for developing bookbinding into a more accessible and sustainable craft discipline. With a zero-waste approach, Cassandra encourages her students to transform remnants and recycled materials into unique and usable books.
