Hosted by Creative Edinburgh, Creative Circles runs every month.
This event is a free, casual monthly meetup for creative freelancers who want to learn, grow, and connect. Each month explores a different topic designed to support and develop creative practice, led by an invited speaker. There’s time to take a break from work, share ideas and experiences, and wrap up by networking with other creatives and meet new collaborators in the city.
Techscaler proudly sponsors Creative Circles.
Creative Circles is a free event which is open to anyone to attend.
March's Conversation - Could technology help elevate my creative practice? [Part 2]
Ready to take our ideas from Part 1 and turn them into something real?
PLEASE NOTE: -
This second session in our two-part Creative Circles series is a practical, hands-on workshop where you’ll start building a simple digital tool for your creative practice, even if you’ve never coded before!
Using beginner-friendly methods (often called 'vibe coding'), we’ll guide you step-by-step through creating a small but meaningful piece of software that could support your creative business.
Together, we’ll explore what goes on behind the scenes of an app and demystify how digital tools are built. By the end of the session, you’ll have created a working early-stage app, for example, a simple tool to help manage a music venue or creative project, and more importantly, you’ll understand how these ideas could be adapted to your own work.
During the workshop, you’ll:
This is a supportive, in-person session with plenty of guidance, space to ask questions, and time to experiment. No prior technical knowledge is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to give it a go.
Open to all creatives, at any stage of their practice. If you missed part 1, you are still welcome to come along.
Places are limited to keep the session interactive. You will need to bring a laptop with you for this practical workshop.
