Virtual Parents Community Group for Under 13s
Our Virtual Parents Community Group for under 13s is open to all our adoption and fostering families who are parenting children up to 12 years old.
Why attend?
Peer Support has been proven to help both adoption and fostering families.
Topics for discussion will depend on what you need at the session, whether it be friendships, school, managing behaviour, talking about adoption, birth family or education.
There’s no pressure to share/talk, sometimes just listening is enough.
As well as supporting each other, the team at St Andrew’s Children’s Society will facilitate the space.
“Sometimes I just needed to talk to people who really get it. Even just hearing how other families manage day to day is a huge help. My own friends are great, but sometimes I don’t think they fully understand the difference we face as parents”.
Mum to a 10 year old son.
It will take place via Microsoft Teams.
