Johannes Brahms – A German Requiem

The Gilbert & Sullivan Very Light Opera Company is pleased to present Johannes Brahms: “A German Requiem,” with chorus, soloists, and orchestra under the masterful direction of Dr. Randal Buikema.

Prepare to be moved by the soul-stirring masterpiece, Johannes Brahms’ “A German Requiem.” This monumental work, which Brahms describes as “sacred, but non-liturgical,” is inspired by human themes of life, death, and hope, and transcends the traditional requiem with its profound and comforting message.
