Join us for an immersive experience in the forest, where we’ll weave together foraging, forest bathing, and land stewardship. Discover the wisdom of the plants, the ecology of the area, and the practices of reciprocal care and connection to the land.
🌿 Forage Wild Plants:
Learn to identify and responsibly harvest local plants—discover their uses for food, medicine, and ecology, and explore their historical and modern significance.
🌲 Forest Bathing:
Engage in a mindful, sensory journey through the forest, grounding yourself in the sights, sounds, and textures of nature as we deepen our connection to the land.
🌱 Land Stewardship & Indigenous Wisdom:
Explore the history of the Indigenous peoples, particularly the Piscataway, who have stewarded this land for thousands of years. We’ll honor their sustainable practices, spiritual connections to the land, and their deep respect for the rivers and forests that nourish us all.
🌸 Intention Setting & Circle:
We’ll begin and end our time together in circle, setting a collective intention for our journey and reflecting on our connection with nature and each other.
🍃 Foraged Tea:
As a beautiful closing, we’ll gather herbs and wild plants to craft a foraged tea, sharing in the warmth of the brew while reflecting on the gifts of the forest and our time together.
