BJMA Coaching & Instructor Development Course
This coaching course is open to all martial artists, BJMA and non-BJMA members, regardless of style or system.
The focus is on coaching excellence, not individual techniques.
Over two practical, high-impact days, you’ll develop the skills needed to coach with clarity, confidence, and consistency — whether you teach children, teens, adults, or competitive athletes.

- Core coaching skills that transfer across all martial arts styles
- How to communicate clearly and coach with purpose
- Building confident students and structured classes
- Developing assistant, lead, and full-time instructors
- Coaching frameworks you can apply immediately in your school or classes
Course facilitators
This course is led by Matthew Wickham and Matt Ball, two highly respected coaches with decades of combined experience.
- Certified in the USA under the Kovar Satori system
- Long-term BJMA instructor course facilitators
- Owners of full-time martial arts schools
- Experience coaching professional athletes, PTs, children, teens, and adults across multiple systems
