It’s that time of the month when we announce the SEPTEMBER COMMUNITY RUN! And do we have a doozy in store for YOU! 🫵
I have been so touched by the efforts of a new run group in town that has really gotten to the root of what I love so much about the spirit of community. The North Side Night Run Club and their Wednesday night runs have been such a positive addition to the Eau Claire running community. Their vision of creating a safe, fun & supportive space for folks to run at night is such a wonderful thing that everyone deserves, and it shows in the joy that they create week in and week out.
So in celebration of community and everything that it’s about - I’m excited to announce that WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 24th at 6PM, we’ll be meeting at the WEST PRINCETON VALLEY ENTRANCE to run the infamous SPOKE (& hoop) Route! Details Below! 👇

📍 Where? - Princeton Valley, Eau Claire, WI. *check map - park on Gooder St.*
📅 When? - 6pm, Wednesday, September 24th, 2025 (PS - Happy Autumn 🍁)
❓ Why? - It’s a Classic Eau Claire Route + Running Together is Cool!
🗺️ How? - 5.5 miles (Spoke) (10 hills!) or 2.5 miles (Hoop) (0 hills!)

If you’ve run this route, you know it’s a special one. And if you never have, (or if you’ve never come to any of these Eau Claire Community Runs,) I’m going to go out on a limb here and say this would is the one to begin with 🪩
I’m super excited to pair this one up with the Northside Night Runners. Running in the evening and at night can make for some of the most enjoyable running experiences. The NSNRC allows everyone to feel safe and secure knowing we have friends to run with. Oh and we can wear glitter too✨ Big shout out to Claire Beck for helping coordinate this one!
As always, we run together at an easy and conversational pace and we circle back together if we separate. Also, for anyone curious -
Princeton Valley is a rather hilly neighborhood. The 10 “spokes” of the Spoke Route correspond to 10 cul du sacs, 8 of which are hills. We understand that not everybody wants to run up 8 hills 🤷♀️, which is why we’ll have TWO route options, that *should* cross paths all along the way! 🌀
Running the ‘full spoke’ is around ~5.5 miles with around 800 feet of elevation gain. Running the ‘hoop’ is ~2.25 miles with around 200 feet of elevation gain. What I’m saying is, there’s a little bit of everything for everyone! 🥳
So please don’t be intimidated by the hills, distance, pace or any other excuse in the book. Just come run with us. It’s fun! It really is. And it connects to a part of the human spirit that we ALL need more of in world today 🌎
I love you Eau Claire. This is a very special route to me and I’m so excited to share it with so many of you amazing people. I hope to see you all there on September 24th at 6pm at the west Princeton Valley entrance with the Northside Night Run Club! Let’s get it ✌️🪩✨
