Many gardeners dream of designing their own ideal garden or landscape but knowing where to start can be overwhelming. This six-hour course provides the foundation for sustainable garden planning, beginning with soil and site analysis to help you identify the best hardscapes and plants suited for Downeast Maine. You'll learn to develop a personalized, environmentally-friendly plan that avoids toxic chemicals and suits a variety of landscape types— including ornamental, vegetable, herb, or cutting gardens.
