Thé Dansant is our monthly dance created to celebrate queer joy, chosen family, and the vibrant diversity of the LGBTQ+ community. Each month we shine a light on a different part of our beautifully diverse community—and this January, we center and celebrate our LGBTQ+ BIPOC family.
In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday, which falls the week prior, this night is also a tribute to his enduring legacy of justice, equality, and collective liberation. We gather not only to dance, but to honor the courage, resilience, and cultural brilliance of Black, Brown, and Indigenous queer people—past, present, and future.
What to Expect:
- A powerful night of dance, connection, and community
- Featured LGBTQ+ BIPOC artists and performers
- A safe, affirming space rooted in joy, visibility, and liberation
- Our very own, Nichole Stevens will be joined by the one and only Black Cherry Loveé, with DJ performances by Frank Bishop and DJ Gold FM. Brittney Burnette will grace us with a powerful afro-dance routine and J Numb will display his uplifting and passionate vocal talents.
- This night is about visibility, celebration, and honoring the truth that queer joy is a form of resistance and that BIPOC queer voices deserve to be centered and uplifted.
