Exam season can turn home into a pressure-cooker, for young people and for parents. If your teen is snapping, shutting down, procrastinating, or saying “I can’t do it”… you’re not alone.
In this 90-minute workshop, we’ll gently unpack what stress and anxiety are, why they can show up as avoidance and procrastination, and what’s happening in the brain and body when your teen feels overwhelmed. We’ll look at the pressures young people are carrying (including the “Covid generation” impact), the transition and change that exams can symbolise, and how expectations, even well-meant ones, can land.
You’ll leave with practical ways to reduce stress (breathing, grounding, movement techniques) and a take-home parent pack of resources so you feel more confident supporting your young person in the weeks ahead.
