The 13th Autumn Half-Term Cup for juniors runs from October 27-31 at Chandlers Ford Snooker Club.
Club-owner Ray Cooper has agreed to give us a guaranteed eight tables every day because of the higher-than-expected attendance numbers for the school-holiday competitions over the past 12 months.
If we have more than 16 entries for the billiards on the Tuesday morning or the cricket on the Thursday morning, we may switch to snooker all day.
Daily cost is £10. Experienced players and complete beginners catered for. No dress code. No pre-registration. Non-members welcome. Full-sized and junior cues can be provided. Hours are 11am-3pm with free practice from 10.30am.
As well as a small daily prize, there are trophies for the overall winner, runner-up and third place.
Beginners work with WPBSA snooker coach Tim Dunkley until they are ready to play proper frames.
All activities are handicapped to produce a level playing field.
The club has excellent WiFi so parents who can work remotely are welcome to work in the bar area.
