One Love Listening Circle • for men and women
We live in a world that asks us to carry so much.
Women are expected to hold families, emotions, work, and responsibilities, often without pause.
Men are expected to be strong, to provide, to hide their tenderness, and to keep going no matter the weight.
Both are asked to do too much. Both are told to keep it inside.
This circle is a place to lay those burdens down.
A place to rest from expectation, to breathe, and to remember that you don’t have to carry it all alone.
Here, you do not need to be strong.
You do not need to have it all together.
You do not need to “suck it up.”
You do not need to be everything to everyone.
You can simply be.
By joining, you commit to honoring confidentiality.
Whatever is shared in the circle stays in the circle.
✨ The practice
We will open by grounding into the space with sound.
Each person is invited to share from the heart. This might be whatever is weighing you down, something good in your life, or a piece of your story that wants to be spoken.
One person speaks at a time, uninterrupted.
No fixing, no advice, no rescuing, just presence.
After each share, we respond together: “Thank you for sharing.”
After you share, if you need something, you can ask — whether it is a hug, a hand on your shoulder, or silence.
✨ Why this matters
We all carry heavy burdens, and we all long to be witnessed.
This circle is a place to cry if you need to cry, to laugh if you need to laugh, to share what hurts, or to celebrate what is good. To speak the things you’ve been holding and have them received without judgment.
When women and men sit in circle together, something shifts. We see each other not as roles or expectations, but as human beings, tender, imperfect, beautiful.
Healing happens not because problems are solved,
but because we are finally heard.
This is a space to let your guard down.
A space to be real.
A space to come home to yourself, together.
