Join us on Sunday, September 21, from 2-4 pm in Barrhead, Glasgow, as we gather to celebrate the Jewish New Year. We'll join together with old and new friends from across Scotland to learn about why apples are such an important fruit for the Jewish New Year, to pick apples together, cook some tasty apple snacks, and do some apple crafting. We will also have some peer-led Jewish learning exploring our connection to the natural world.
Everyone welcome, regardless of affiliation with other Jewish communities or background, including non-Jewish partners and family members. While this event is primarily intended for members of the Jewish community (and partners/family members) to come together, it's meant to be an inclusive and welcoming space. This event is for all ages, and everyone is welcome.
Light vegetarian snacks will be served at the event, including dairy and gluten. All ingredients will be certified kosher, and cooked and served on kosher dishes.
We will be outside, with tarpaulines for cover in case of rain. Please dress accordingly. There is level access at the venue, but over rough and uneven ground.
Transport is not included. Exact location will be sent to registered participants, for security. There is free parking at the venue. Note that there is no public toilet at the venue, although there are several cafes nearby. Driving distances include:
