Hemlok / Chainlacing / Vudu Sister

Hemlok - Whether it's multipart instrumentals, sabotaging convention with the odd and exotic, or choosing to be catchy amidst dark aural shades, Hemlok remains Providence RI's most curious musical proposition. Comprised of John (Guitar/Devices), Nate (Bass/devices) and Alex (Drums/percussion) (With special guest Bri - Vocals/Violin)

Chainlacing - is Rick Martel and Lauren Crosser. The project started in New Hampshire, where Lauren would travel from Boston to record guitar ideas in Rick’s home studio. The duo gravitate toward lofi, ambient guitar and synthesizer effects, melodic drone, reverb, and gloom—like listening to doom, shoegaze, goth, or industrial on 8-track tapes.

Lauren and Rick are in other Massachusetts-area bands. Lauren drums in a heavy shoegaze band called Slow Quit, based in Boston, and Rick plays guitar in Lowell grunge band Tysk Tysk Task.

Vudu Sister is an American band based in Providence, Rhode Island. Gothic folk with grunge influences. Songs to Sing in the Dark. They deserve your attention today.
