Exploding Zones / Blood Chimera / Future Stories

Exploding Zones is an experimental space rock band hailing from Providence, Rhode Island. The band features Mike Duffy on guitar and vocals, Christopher Kelley on bass, and Eric Smith on drums. Their debut album, Water Motor Gong Bell, released on March 20, is characterized by its use of noise and distortion, tight rhythms, and powerful guitar riffs. Some listeners find it reminiscent of fuzzed-out alt-rock from the 80s and 90s. The album is available on Bandcamp, Distorted Forest Studio, and Old Colony Mastering

Indie power trio Future Stories fills their hypnotic, post-punk soundscapes with a quirky universe of doomed relationships, monsters under the bed and humanoid robots.
Formed in 2019, the band sprang from a Kondo-esque mindset of sparking dark-yet-danceable joy with only the bare necessities. Driving rhythms and angular melodies fuel a tightly-wound sound that is both energetic and introspective.
