Spring Street Productions presents:
Dave Alves / Emily Jeanne Brown / Molly O’Leary & Justin Arena
Dave Alves is a pianist, vocalist, and composer from New England. Starting piano at age 6, he grew up immersed in classical music, later expanding into jazz, musical theater, and original composition. While studying Music Theory and Composition in college, he founded his first band, Mindset, which performed his original songs for seven years across the region.
Dave now fronts Crooks & Scourge, a 90s alt-rock revival band whose EP Far From Here is available on all major platforms. He also played keys, guitar, and sang with Providence-based The Mad Clatter on their full-length album Parallels.
Currently, Dave is recording his debut solo acoustic album at Railroad Park Recording Studios, showcasing his storytelling style and collaborations with guest musicians. He also teaches piano at DoubleBar Studio in Westport, MA, where he enjoys inspiring the next generation of artists.
Emily Jeanne Brown is a singer and songwriter whose music explores personal and cultural thresholds—from coming of age to life in a post-pandemic world. Trained as a Shakespearean actor, she began recording during quarantine with a haunting cover of “I’m on Fire,” which gained tens of thousands of streams. Her original work, often compared to artists like Phoebe Bridgers and Maggie Rogers, has led to sold-out shows at NYC venues like Rockwood Music Hall. Her debut EP Nina was released on YouTooCanWoo’s Sunken Living Room label and co-produced by Deidre Muro and Eric Mendelsohn.
Molly O’Leary (they/them) is a queer non-binary singer-songwriter and therapist from New Bedford, MA. Their sophomore album Marigold—produced by Will Hoge—blends indie folk rock with raw storytelling about healing, identity, and mental health. Nominated for multiple 2024 New England Music Awards and the 2025 Motif Music Awards, Molly has shared the stage with artists like Dave Hause, Sarah Shook, and Geoff Rickly. Offstage, they support queer youth and adults as a therapist and host songwriter nights at their ocean-view office, lovingly dubbed "Kitty Castle." Justin Arena is a South Shore-based musician, artist, and co-founder of Together Records, a DIY record label and creative hub rooted in community and collaboration. Since 2013, Justin has been a driving force in Massachusetts' underground music scene—booking house shows, supporting touring acts, and cultivating a space for local artists to thrive. Alongside collaborator Cameron Francisco, Together Records offers recording, distro, screen printing, and event production, all while championing accessible, artist-first practices. Justin also creates visual art under the moniker Ladyslipper Art, and continues to perform both solo and with his band formerly known as The Justin Arena Project.
