Workshop: Dieu Donné Papermaking

Have you ever wondered about the paper you draw and paint on? What if the paper itself is the art? Discover how contemporary artists push the boundaries of this age-old material through collaborative hand papermaking with the renowned Dieu Donné Workspace residency. Learn how the mill supports artists’ creative research, helping ideas take shape through expert collaboration and experimentation. While you won’t make your own paper, participants will get a behind-the-scenes look into the hand papermaking process through working samples and conversation.

Founded in 1976, Dieu Donné is the leading nonprofit cultural institution dedicated to serving emerging and established artists through the collaborative creation of contemporary art using the process of hand papermaking.
