My First Book Club

My First Book Club is a monthly meet up for youth currently reading picture books, early readers, or early chapter books. Participants can pick any book in these collections to read and share at the meetup!

Readers don't need to be reading independently, reading together is encouraged!

This book club is intended for younger school age children (Kindergarten and up) so that the participants will be able to participate in the meetup mostly independently. This way adults can also connect and chat about supporting young readers at the meetups.

When you check out a book for the book club - ask for a book club work sheet. This will help readers prepare to talk about the book they chose! Its not homework but it is a helpful tool.
