Kayaks in Conservation

🛶Come join us for Kayaks in Conservation! This paddle will take us on the Belle River in East China Township on Saturday, August 30 from 9am – 12pm. We’ll launch from the East China Belle River Launch on the corner of Belle River Rd and Springborn Rd, then we’ll embark on an upriver-and-return route searching for 🐢elusive wildlife, learning about 🌿native and invasive aquatic plants, and exploring all the river has to offer! Participants will go home with a free kayak cleaning kit to help prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species. 🫧🧽🌿

This event is BYOK - Bring Your Own kayak (or canoe or paddleboard) and life jacket, PFD's are required on this trip. Thanks to a Clean Boats Clean Waters grant, this event is free, but registration is required, and the number of participants is limited.
