Join us for our September ‘Guardian Angels’ Grave Cleaning Day!
Come and be part of our monthly South Brisbane Cemetery ‘Guardian Angels’ grave cleaning day on Sunday, September 14th! We’d love for you to join us as we help care for this historic site by tidying graves, clearing paths, and sprucing up the grounds.
Drop in anytime between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm — arrive when you can, leave when you need, and stay for as long or as little as you'd like. Whether you're an experienced volunteer or a first-timer, we’ll provide cleaning advice and equipment if needed. If you can, please bring along any of the following: a spray bottle, a soft hand brush (not metal), a broom, a bucket, gloves, a hat —and a few friends!
There’s plenty to do, from gentle grave washing to light gardening and litter collection. It’s a rewarding, family-friendly activity, and as many of our volunteers say, it’s surprisingly enjoyable. You’ll leave knowing you've done something meaningful for Brisbane’s heritage, all while spending time in a peaceful and historic setting.
We’ll also have drinks and snacks to keep you going. We’d love to see you there — come along and be part of something special!
