1. Echoes of Workers’ Voices

Visitors and paranormal investigators have reported hearing EVPs of children’s voices in the drying sheds and machinery areas—believed to echo the harsh reality of Victorian labour, where even young children worked long shifts in extreme heat. Some investigations claim to have also captured sightings of former workers amid the steam‑powered machinery. 

2. Grey Mists & Flying Light

In one first‑hand account, ghost hunters described inexplicable phenomena: a dripping sound near a lathe with no visible source, followed by a grey mist hovering over large doors, and a light that seemed to fly toward a participant’s face. 

3. The Foreman’s Shadowy Figure

Guests on “ghost story” tours have heard tales of the ghost of a stern Foreman stalking the corridors—enforcing discipline even after death. There are stories of spectral figures acting out their final shifts, sometimes pausing as if in fear of an unseen presence.
