Fire Cider is all the rage these days, but what really is it? Join Alysia Leon, the herbalist of Bird Fork Farm, to gain a solid foundation of crafting herbal oxymels, vinegar and herb sourcing tips, straining, and recipe tricks. During this approximately 3-hour long hands-on course we will learn the ins and outs of how and why to craft Fire Cider, the history behind the remedy, herbal variations, how to source ethically and locally, and ways to incorporate this powerful immune tonic into your daily use. You will then craft your own Fire Cider to take home using farm-crafted raw Apple Cider Vinegar straight from the orchard with freshly harvested farm grown plants. Entirely farm to bottle.
Herbal teas will be provided and the apothecary will be open to shop.
Please wear closed toed-shoes, and bring: scissors, sunscreen, a water bottle, and a notebook. Feel free to bring snacks if you'd like. This class will be outside.
