Plants & Potions Foraging Walk

Come reawaken your senses and reconnect with nature at The Foraging Faerie's 'Plants and Potions session'. Local botanist Dorothy will share her botanical and herbal expertise on a gentle walk through Dunfermline's Glen, to help you cultivate a deeper connection with the incredible healing energy of the plants and trees surrounding us. You will learn how to identify different wild herbs, learn about their modern and historical uses, and Scottish folklore. Returning to Quantum Healing's studio, you will have the opportunity to sample herbal snacks and drinks to nurture your body and soul. This hands on session will end with the opportunity to make your own natural potions with the wild plants you will discover on your walk. This experience blends nature connection with the ancient wisdom of herbalism for a truly relaxing and enriching session.

PLEASE NOTE: the walk includes some steps, slopes and walking on uneven paths. Appropriate footwear should be worn💚

Dorothy grew up gathering wild food in the Scottish borders and now lives in west Fife. Her love of plants led to Dorothy studying botany at the University of Aberdeen and Imperial College. She carried on botanising and foraging whilst raising her two children. She refreshed her skills studying for a Certificate of Herbology (Royal Botanic Gardens, Edinburgh) at the start of the pandemic. Her first organised foraging walk was in September 2021 at the Yoga Social yurt in Charlestown. She loves giving people hands on experience in gathering herbs and teaching people how to forage responsibly for common wild herbs. Dorothy holds regular Plants and Potions (foraging walks) in Limekilns and the surrounding area and offers mini sessions for local groups including the Girl Guides, Limekilns Primary school and local Carers group.
