A group of local Power Hoopers are coming together to support Heart Kids NZ - and they’re setting up a free, family-friendly event for everyone to enjoy! 🎉
We would love for you to join us to celebrate our amazing heart heroes as part of Heart Kids NZ's Heroes for Heart Kids campaign weekend 🦸♀️🦸♂️
What’s happening:
Adults & teens can try Power Hooping (weighted hula hoops)
Kids can enjoy hooping with smaller hoops (we’ll have some available – but please bring your own if you have any!)
Meet & take photos with Maia Bear, our Heart Kids NZ mascot 🐻
Bonus: come dressed as your favourite superhero and join in the fun!
📅 Date: Sunday 28 September
📍 Location: Marlow Park (the Dinosaur Park) St Kilda, Dunedin
🕐 Time: 11am-1pm, 1–2 hours of hooping, fun, and community connection
This event is completely free and open to everyone. If you’d like, you can make a gold coin koha on the day – with all donations going directly to Heart Kids NZ - supporting children with childhood heart conditions and their families ❤️
