This ride, it means so much to the folks involved with heart kids. They get no government support, even though around 12 babies are born every week with a congenital heart defect of some description. Imagine that for a minute, your new born baby, already fighting to live, as soon as it's born. The emotional, mental, and financial cost is unknowable to those lucky enough not to go through this.
We can not raise enough money to fix it, we can not raise enough awareness to adequately support those going through a lifetime dealing with C.H.D's, but we can raise some funds to at least alleviate a little bit for a family.
I'm sure if we look hard enough, we all will know someone dealing with this.
So on the day, buy a raffle, maybe put in the winning bid for the silent auction, and enjoy the ride.
