4th Annual Hoani Parata Lecture 12 September 2024
Selwyn College Te Maru Pūmanawa in association with the Otago University Theology Programme presents the fourth annual Hoani Parata Lecture to honour Rev'd Canon Hoani Parata (1881–1928), the first Māori resident at Te Maru Pūmanawa.
'Ka tū au ka rongo i te pai - Through haka and waiata, sound and motion become sacred languages that proclaim and perform the Good News.'
Speaker: The Rev'd Dr Te Hira Paenga (Ngāpuhi, Ngāti Porou, and Ngāti Kahungunu).
