Get ready to dance the night away with friends!
This event is for all homeschool students 7th-12th grade.
The Winter formal will be held February 27, 2026
from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at New Beginnings Family Worship Center. Finger food and drinks will be provided. Chaperones from Train Academics will be present. Tickets will be $10 for each student attending. Tickets may be purchased at the door. CASH ONLY on the day of the event.
Each attendee will recieve a ticket for door prizes to be given periodically during the event.
Train Academic dances are an event, which reflects the philosophy of our co-op. Among our most important considerations is adherence to co-op rules regarding modesty. The following dress and dance guidelines apply to our students and students from outside our co-op that may be attending.
Girls' Attire
Tops
• The neckline of a dress, top, or gown must be cut in a modest way without showing cleavage. Spaghetti straps or strapless dresses are not allowed. Straps must be three finger lengths wide.
• The cut of a dress in the back and sides must not be cut below the navel. Length
• A dress, skirt, or gown must be longer than mid-thigh.
• Slits in a dress/skirt may be no higher than three
(3) inches from the knee. Miscellaneous
• No navel is allowed to show.
• Two-piece dresses are allowed if the space between top and skirt is less than two inches. The top must not show any cleavage or have cut outs (no halter top style).
• The bodice of the dress must not have any fabric cutouts in the cleavage area. If elsewhere, it must be covered by netting and less than an inch opening.
• Dresses should not be excessively tight.
Boys' Attire

• Young men are expected to wear appropriate dress clothing. Formal wear or "Sunday Best" is most appropriate.
• No cut off shirts.
• Shorts must be mid-thigh or longer.
Dancing
Appropriate physical contact only. Sexually suggestive dancing will not be tolerated.
Additional Notes
Admittance to the dance, with consideration of attire, will be left to the discretion of the faculty / administration present that evening.
