DPL Fall Book Club: Guards! Guards! by Terry Pratchett

The Duncan Public Library in partnership with the Friends of the Library will host IT WAS THE 90s: a series of book events centered around four amazing books presented by four local scholars as they take you through the 90s at your favorite local library! These four novels are award winning, and we feel like they are representative of important literary events and trends in the 1990s. The first book up is Guards! Guards! by Terry Pratchett.

Insurrection is in the air in the city of Ankh-Morpork. The Haves and the Have-Nots are about to face off. Again. It's old news to Captain Sam Vimes of the city's ramshackle Night Watch. But this time, something is different--the Have-Nots have found the key to a dormant lethal weapon that even they can't fully control, and they're about to unleash a campaign of terror on the city.
