Christmas 3D Animation Workshops

Animation Workshops on Sunday 14th December.

In this 2½ hour workshop for ages P4 to P7 you can make your own Christmassy animated film with 3D stop motion animation! Build and move your own creatures with help from a real animator! Join the other new animators and bring your creations to life with intuitive apps. All your films will be put online for you to show to everyone! Here's some older ones!

Stop motion is the quickest way to make an animated film with the exact ideas in your head. In this 2½ hr workshop you will choose your own type of crismas creature, elves, snow people or even a talking tree! We'll help you make it into a plasticine puppet with fully moveable body parts along with all the objects and special effects you might need in your film. Make your creatures as simple or detailed as you like and of course you get to keep them!

Then comes the fun! Join in small groups (2 or 3) and choose or build your own background places for your puppets to have fun in. Make up a story or just animate your puppets eating cake and opening presents, adding your own voice or sound effects if you like.

Everyone will recieve a link to the films online (after a few days) and you can share them with anyone.

The Dunblane Centre is a wonderful, safe and family friendly venue with a cafe. Grown ups are free to stay in the cafe when it's open. Parents can contact me if needing to stay during the workshop. The age range for this workshop is P4 to P7.

Jim Stirk at Animation Jam has taught children, young people and adults for over 20 years, and is also a practicing freelance animator.
