Live Music - Sci-Fi Jim

Sci-Fi Jim is a multi-instrumental acoustic musician specialising in folk, roots, blues. Americana, country, alt-country, jazz, rock and roll, soul and (largely tasteful) pop from the past seven decades or so. Upbeat, modern and versatile, SFJ is suitable for all kinds of event from quiet early-evening sessions and restaurant settings to higher-energy weekend pub nights and parties. No backing tracks are used – everything is performed live on the night. In addition to an acoustic guitar, harmonicas, bass drum, percussion and (sometimes) looping and other instruments are used to add depth and variety to every show. In addition, Jim is joined for part of some shows by concertina-player Louise, who adds a Celtic vibe to the sound.
With a broad and varied repertoire, shows can be tailored to suit the audience and set lists are often modified in real time to suit the event.
