Introduction to Fusion 360 Class

In this hands-on class, you’ll learn the essential skills needed to turn ideas into real 3D designs using Fusion 360—an industry-standard tool used by engineers, product designers, and makers around the world. You’ll explore how to navigate the Fusion 360 interface, create precise 2D sketches with dimensions, and transform them into 3D objects using tools like extrude and revolve. Along the way, you’ll pick up basic design principles and best practices used in professional design and manufacturing. By the end of the session, you’ll complete a simple, personalized project—like a name tag or custom keychain—that combines dimensional sketching, extrusion, and text, and can even be prepared for 3D printing. No experience needed. Laptops are provided, or feel free to bring your own.
