In this class, each participant will create an edition of greeting cards of their own design using some of the tools and hand operated letterpress equipment of the Tight Squeek Press.
Participants will create their own images, transfer their images to linoleum blocks, carve their images in relief, cut and score stock, and go to press. Images may be up to two colors. All operations will be guided and overseen by the shop's proprietor, Jon Hinkel. Each participant is encouraged to have a card design in mind prior to attending the first class.
Participants will gain a working knowledge of block carving, paper cutting and scoring, and hand letterpress operation. Each student will complete and take home an edition of 50 cards of his or her own design along with 50 matching envelopes.
Choose one: TUE Five Class Series or THUR Five Class Series.

Jon Hinkel, proprietor of The Tight Squeek Press, will be the class instructor. Jon has been providing hand bookbinding, book repair services and bookbinding classes as part of the Tight Squeek Press offerings for over 14 years.
