Art Journaling - Kintsugi Theme

Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold or silver. The belief is that the object is more valuable and beautiful with its history revealed.
It will never go back to being exactly as it was before it was broken ,instead the cracks are highlighted to create a masterful work of art.
In Art journal practice Kintsugi symbolises healing, embracing imperfections and finding beauty in our scars. It is about acknowledging and accepting that as humans we are flawed but we can gather up all of our broken parts and still create something beautiful.

For this session the additional materials that you will need are :
A patterned piece of paper.
A sheet of gold or silver card.....or .....
A gold or silver paint pen / or paint and brush.

£5.00 per person.
