Fire Safety Training

Who Should Attend: This course is designed for all employees/volunteers in all sectors of employment.

Course Duration: 9:30 AM-1:00 PM

Course Content:

• Fire safety legislation (Overview)
• Understanding the physics and chemistry of fire
• Development and spread of fire
• Action in the event of a fire
• Means of raising alarm
• Means of summoning the fire brigade
• Action on hearing the fire alarm
• Evacuation procedures

Please Note: If you are attending the course via Zoom there will be no practical element to the course (not discharge a fire extinguisher) The instructor will demonstrate the correct use of discharging/using. This may shorten the course by 30 minutes to an hour.

Certification: A Guardian Safety Fire Safety Training Certificate (3-year certificate) is awarded to participants once they have successfully completed the course.

Participants can select their preferred attendance method, either participating online through Zoom or attending in person.

Requirements:

The videoconference will run through Zoom.

You will need a PC with audio/video, Internet, and room for the practical side. Make sure you are running an up-to-date browser (Google Chrome, Firefox, etc)

You will receive an invitation from the designated tutor.

• There is no restriction on the number of fire extinguishers available for training, and we will continue until the learner feels confident, prioritizing their comfort over a set limit.

• Your employees will become acquainted with the types of fire extinguishers present on your premises.
