Where teamwork meets purpose - Dubbo’s triathlon for a cause.
The Tri for Charity is a fun, community-based race event where local teams swim, ride, and run together to raise funds for Macquarie HomeStay, helping families stay close to loved ones receiving medical care in Dubbo.
And this year, every dollar raised is doubled by Findex, matched up to $3000, meaning your effort goes twice as far for local families.
Whether you’re a first-timer, a weekend walker, or a seasoned racer, this event is built for you. Teams of three share the load: one person swims, one bikes, one runs.
No fancy gear required. Just teamwork, laughter, and a healthy dose of local competition.
You don’t need to be a triathlete. You just need a team.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐥𝐨𝐧?
A triathlon combines three short back-to-back activities:
🏊 Swim: 500 m downstream in the calm Macquarie River under the LH Ford Bridge
🚴 Bike: 18 km scenic out and back ride
🏃 Run: 4 km finish through the riverside path and back to Ollie Robbins Oval
Each team predicts their total time before starting, and the winners are those who finish closest to their estimate. That means it’s about strategy and pacing, not speed.
