Frequently asked questions
Q. How do I book the yacht and choose catering?
A. Book your preferred duration (3–5 hours) and guest count (up to 17) on Headout. BBQ catering is an optional upgrade for groups of 5+. Choose at checkout or contact us after booking. The 2-person crew handles setup and service.
Q. Can we customize the route or stop for swimming?
A. Yes. Your captain helps plan the cruise. The usual route includes Dubai Marina, JBR, Ain Dubai, Palm Jumeirah, Atlantis, and Burj Al Arab. Swimming is allowed at designated JBR areas, weather and sea conditions permitting, at the captain’s discretion.
Q. Is a 52ft yacht comfortable for 17 guests?
A. Yes. The yacht is designed for groups. The flybridge seats 8–10, the air-conditioned salon seats another 8–10, with sun beds and deck space for lounging. Groups naturally spread out, so it never feels crowded.
Q. What’s included in the hourly rate?
A. Private 52ft yacht, English-speaking captain and crew member, insurance, soft drinks, water, tea, coffee, ice, glassware, sound system, bathroom, flybridge, sun beds, and swimming ladder.
Not included: catering upgrades, premium beverages, outside food/alcohol, or gratuities.
Q. Can we bring our own food and alcohol?
A. Yes. You’re welcome to bring any food and alcohol (beer, wine, spirits). The crew will help serve and organize everything. If you book the BBQ upgrade, outside BBQ meats aren’t allowed—but sides, desserts, and drinks are fine.
Q. Is this yacht suitable for families and mixed-age groups?
A. Yes. It works well for families and multi-generational groups. Children under 9 must wear life jackets (bring your own). Kids under 2 should stay in the salon with an adult. Elderly guests benefit from shaded seating and crew assistance.
Q. What are the swimming rules?
A. Swimming is allowed only in approved JBR areas and when conditions are safe. The captain makes the final call. Children under 9 must wear life jackets. Adults swim at their own risk. Towels are not provided.
Q. What’s the best time for a sunset or dinner cruise?
A. Book your departure 1.5–2 hours before sunset. Sunset is around 6:30pm in summer and 5:45pm in winter. A 3-hour cruise starting around 5pm works perfectly for sunset views and dinner onboard.
