myrer is a duo composed of Italian musicians Thomas Canna and Giovanni Falascone. Their performance explores cyclical and collective essentiality:
a focus on the continuity of sound, its non-linear developments, and the anonymity of the individual in favour of shared intent.
The spatial arrangement of instruments and musicians aligns with this aesthetic: the setup is conceived as a single instrument, co-managed through actions and amplification, aiming for a close connection between composition and gestural dramaturgy.
The duo's instrumentation includes prepared and amplified percussion, piano, and psaltery. Amplification is achieved through speakers and/or transducers.
