Formed in 2016 as a Mortiferum side project with Cerebral Rot and Fetid members as well as the drummer of Magrudergrind, Caustic Wound have since made a name in the underground as a ferocious death/grind band reminiscing the raw and aggressive vibes of the early nineties in a contemporaneous sound and feel. After a strong demo in 2018 and 2020’s widely received debut “Death Posture”, they returned this year with the equally powerful sophomore “Grinding Mechanisms of Torment”, again on Profound Lore Records. Their music is influenced by early US grindcore and death/grind bands like Terrorizer, Assück or Immortal Fate, interspersed with elements of death metal and goregrind classics. Be prepared for maximum intensity!

Reverence to Paroxysm were founded between 2018 and 2020 around Antimo Buonanno (ex-Disgorge, Hacavitz, Profanator) and Óscar Clorio (Cenotaph, ex-Shub Niggurath), two veterans of the Mexican death metal underground scene that have been active more or less since its inception. While the latter has since left the band, Reverence to Paroxysm remains as strong as ever, having released a Split with the Spanish Pestilength in 2020, a live album in 2022 and, in 2023, their debut album “Lux Morte” via Me Saco Un Ojo and Dark Descent Records. Their sound reminds of early, raw Swedish and Finnish death/doom bands like Eternal Darkness, Moondark or Rippikoulu, with an absurdly bass-heavy sound that almost reaches Mortician territories of deep rumbling, and occasional almost clean leads over extremely distorted sparse soundscapes that call into mind Disembowelment.

Ihre Musik ist von frühen US-Grindcore- und Death/Grind-Bands wie Terrorizer, Assück oder Immortal Fate beeinflusst, durchsetzt mit Elementen aus Death Metal und Goregrind-Klassikern. Macht euch auf maximale Intensität gefasst!

Ihr Sound erinnert an frühe, raue schwedische und finnische Death/Doom-Bands wie Eternal Darkness, Moondark oder Rippikoulu, mit einem absurd basslastigen Sound, der fast in die Tiefen von Mortician vordringt, und gelegentlichen, fast sauberen Leads über extrem verzerrten, spärlichen Klanglandschaften, die an Disembowelment erinnern.
