An Evening with Cartoonist and Children's Author Patrick McDonnell

Join us in welcoming cartoonist and children's author Patrick McDonnell to Doylestown, PA, as he discusses and signs his new book The Gift of Everything and the 20th anniversary edition of his bestselling classic The Gift of Nothing at The Doylestown Bookshop on Wednesday, October 8th, at 6:00pm.

This is a ticketed event. Each ticket includes admission for one person and a hardcover copy of The Gift of Everything OR both The Gift of Everything and the Gift of Nothing (Anniversary Edition).

Tickets including The Gift of Everything cost $19.07 (the cost of the book + tax). A small Eventbrite fee will also be included.

THIS IS A TICKETED EVENT - HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

• Doors open at 5:00 pm, and the event will start at 6:00 pm.
• Each ticket admits one person and includes one hardcover copy of The Gift of Everything OR The Gift of Everything and the Gift of Nothing (Anniversary Edition). No substitutions.
• You will be given the book that comes with your ticket when you check in at the event.
• The author will sign and personalize books with your first name only, with no messages. He will not be able to sign any posters, bookmarks, scraps of paper, etc...
• You may bring TWO books from home to be signed by the author in addition to anything pre-ordered or purchased through The Doylestown or Lahaska Bookshops during the event.
• An adult must accompany children under 16.
• If you cannot attend the event, we will hold your signed books at the front counter of The Doylestown Bookshop for pick-up for up to two weeks. Any books that have not been picked up or arranged to be shipped by the two-week mark will be donated. Please give us 24 hours post-event to prepare your books for pick-up. We will do our best to have it autographed.
• Event tickets are non-refundable.

Patrick McDonnell’s beloved and award-winning comic strip, MUTTS, has appeared in over 700 newspapers across 20 countries for 30 years. Charles Schulz called it “One of the best comics strips of all time.” Patrick is the author of several New York Times bestselling picture books, including The Gift of Nothing, and the Caldecott Honor winning Me...Jane. Both have been adapted as musicals for the Kennedy Center stage. Other children’s books include Hug Time, A Perfectly Messed-Up Story, The Monsters’ Monster, and Thank You and Goodnight.
