Partnering with Rise Against Hunger to combat hunger means more than just providing meals; it's about paving the way toward brighter futures and empowering the lives of people facing food insecurity in the communities served worldwide. Together, we can make a lasting difference, one meal at a time.
Join us for our annual Rise Against Hunger Meal Packaging Event on Saturday, October 4th from 10:00 am to Noon. As in the past two years, we will be partnering with Wesley UMC so we can double our efforts and package 20,000 meals in approximately 2 hours.
This year’s event will be at Wyoming UMC in our Family Life Center. There is a job for everyone, regardless of age or physical ability. We depend on the young people to do the running with full bags of dehydrated food for packing. However, there are sit-down jobs for weighing and sealing food packages.
The cost of the meals is $4,000 for 10,000 meals which is our commitment. Giving envelopes will be available beginning in September. If you cannot physically be at the event, please consider donating towards this worthy project.
