Bullying is not “just a part of growing up.” It’s a serious issue that can affect a child’s confidence, academic performance, and emotional well-being for years to come.
The numbers tell the story:
* 1 in 5 children report being bullied at school.
* Kids who are bullied are twice as likely to experience anxiety and depression.
* Victims of bullying often see declines in grades, self-esteem, and participation in activities they once loved.
But together, we can change this story.
At Kaizen Jiu-Jitsu Academy, we believe that when children are equipped with confidence, respect, and practical skills, bullying loses its power.
By teaching kids how to recognize, respond to, and rise above bullying, we can create a safer, stronger community. And when our community stands strong, we set an example that can influence the world.
What Your Child Will Learn: This hands-on workshop is designed specifically for kids ages 7–13.
Understanding the 4 Types of Bullying:
Verbal: insults, teasing, name-calling
Physical: shoving, hitting, aggressive contact
Social: exclusion, spreading rumors, peer pressure
Cyber: online harassment, digital threats
Building Real-Life Defense Skills:
* Defensive posturing (confidence without aggression)
* Shove defense and punch defense
* Basic striking for self-protection
* Ground defense and technical stand-up skills
