As the evenings grow cozier and the holiday season approaches, Downtown Dover continues to shine with community spirit and creativity. Each month, on the first Friday from 5–8 PM, our local businesses open their doors a little later, offering residents and visitors a chance to shop, dine, and connect in the heart of the city.
✨ What is First Friday?
First Friday — also known as Shop Local Late is a monthly event where downtown shops, boutiques, and galleries stay open late to welcome the community for an evening of shopping, dining, and fun. Restaurants join in too, offering special menus, drink deals, and cozy spots to unwind after your stroll.
It’s a simple idea that’s turned into a much-loved tradition: slow down, stay local, and rediscover what makes Dover’s small businesses so special.
