Extending Your Garden Season- Planting a Fall Garden

You planted your garden in early spring, and you’ve been weeding and watering through a very hot summer. Your vegetables have been harvested, and you think your garden is done. But not yet – now is a perfect time to plant fall vegetables. Because of fall’s cooler air temperatures and predictable precipitation, plants are able to grow stronger with minimal stress. In this workshop you’ll learn how to prepare the soil, select the right vegetables to grow, and harvest before the first frost.
