Walk in the Footsteps of Archibald Knox – Crosby & Old St Runius Church

Join Catriona Livingstone for a walking tour through the beautiful Manx countryside to see the landscapes that inspired Archibald Knox’s work. These immersive walks offer a sensory experience, allowing you to feel and appreciate the essence of Knox's artistry. Along the way, you’ll gain unique insights into his life and legacy, with plenty of time to pause, take in breathtaking views, and connect deeply with the surroundings much as he did.

This walk takes us along the Heritage Railway with views from the floor of the valley of Greeba Mountain and Slieau Whallian. After we have walked up to Archallagan Plantation, there are views across the valley and towards Peel and Douglas of the hills. Old St Runius churchyard is the home of one of Knox’s most impressive designs.
