Organ Donation Isle of Man, Transplant Isle of Man, NHSBT and the Organ Donation Committee from Nobles Hospital would like to invite anyone whose lives have been touched by organ donation or transplant to join us for this very special service taken by The Venerable Archdeacon Irene Cowell.
A very special part of the service is lighting a candle in memory of a loved one or donor. This year you will be given a glass tea light holder and there will be special labels available if you would like make your candle more personal. You will be able to take these away after the service.
During the service 3 families will be presented with The Order of St John Award for Organ Donation by John Gill, Knight Commander in memory of their loved ones and to formally recognize the wonderful gift of life they gave to others. Each family will be contacted and invited by NHSBT in the next couple of weeks.
If you would like a photo of your loved one or donor shown during the service, please email them to
ZGlhbmUgISB0YXlsb3IgfCBpc2xlb2ZtYW4gISBjb20= as a jpeg.
Light refreshments are served after the service and it's an opportunity to meet other families, chat to the committee and specialist nurses from NHSBT.
If you would like any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.
